• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry

Experience

• 2 to 5 years

  Hospital, Medical Equipment, Diagnostic Centre

Responsibilities & Context

• Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments.Properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate, and shut down such instruments.

• Receiving, labeling, and shorting the sample (blood, urine, etc.).Designed and executed laboratory work and sample preparation according to standard procedure.

• Work with possibly infected samples on a daily basis.Using proper sterilization and safety techniques in the laboratory is essential.

• Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject various types of samples using scientific laboratory methods.

• Organizing and storing all chemicals, liquids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.

• Maintain results accurately and responsibly on the forms given, and then give them to the authorized consultant.

• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.

• Make sure that all safety rules are followed at all times and that the place stays clean and organized. 

• Continuously research laboratory-related information.

• Trains and orientates new biochemists in the performance and interpretation of tests.

• To ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely, and meets customer needs.
