Job Summary:
The Accounts & Finance Manager at Abdul Kadir Molla International School (AKMIS) will oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and internal financial policies. This role is integral in maintaining accurate financial records, managing school fees, ensuring timely VAT and tax returns, and liaising with stakeholders, including parents and government offices. The position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong communication and analytical skills to manage day-to-day financial activities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts and Financial Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Prepare annual financial statements and reports for management review.
Monitor and reconcile accounts, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
Supervise and manage tuition fee collections, including payment follow-ups.
Communicate with parents regarding outstanding dues and address payment-related concerns.
Tax and VAT Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all VAT and tax regulations as per government laws.
Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns within specified deadlines.
Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation.
Maintain and update VAT and tax records as per government requirements.
Government and External Liaison:
Build and maintain effective relationships with government offices for financial compliance and regulatory needs.
Handle correspondence and inquiries from external parties, including auditors and regulatory bodies.
Audit and Reporting:
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the auditing process.
Provide accurate financial data and reports during audits.
Address audit observations and implement recommendations for compliance and efficiency.
