Responsibilities & Context
Installation: Install electrical systems, wiring, conduits, and equipment in industrial facilities. Set up motors, control systems, transformers, and other electrical components.
Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to prevent breakdowns.Test and replace faulty wiring, circuits, or equipment.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical issues using tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment.Identify and resolve problems with motors, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and other industrial equipment.
Repair: Repair or replace damaged electrical components, such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC) to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Implement lockout/tagout procedures when working on electrical systems.
Reading Blueprints and Schematics: Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to install or repair systems.
Collaboration: Work with engineers, maintenance teams, and other professionals to optimize electrical systems and support production goals.
Upgrades and Improvements: Upgrade outdated electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety. Install energy-efficient lighting, motors, and control systems.
