Deep understanding of container stowage, vessel structure, and port operations
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced port environments.
Ship planning and vessel operations.
Port logistics and marine control
Previous experience with shipping lines, port operators, or terminal operators is highly valued
Responsibilities & Context
Create detailed plans for loading and unloading containers at each port of call.
Ensure cargo is placed according to weight, size, destination, and type (e.g., hazardous, refrigerated).
Maintain vessel stability by distributing weight evenly and complying with IMO and SOLAS regulations.
Use of Planning Software’s and Operate advanced systems such as: Navis N4 (StowMan), MACS3, TOS (Terminal Operating Systems), Xvela or custom shipping line software Consider vessel draft and trim to avoid listing or unsafe navigation.
Maximize port productivity by reducing crane idle time and container re-handling.
Prepare loading plans, manifests, and container discharge lists for port authorities and customs.
